Sumter Utilities has constructed a 3.5 MW Solar system in central North Carolina for a local utility owner. The system utilized photovoltaic modules and a solar tracking system to optimize output performance. For this project, Sumter Utilities worked with other Quanta Services companies and local contractors to provide a complete project including property grading and dirt work, material procurement, module and tracker installation, testing and inspection. With a dedicated solar workforce, Sumter Utilities has the ability to become the Southeast leader for renewable energy projects.
