Border Solar was founded in 2008 to promote and create awareness of the benefits of Solar energy, by serving the New Homes markets, and then moving towards, residential, commercial and institutional retrofit customers.

Border Solar is El Paso's leading Solar Integrator, serving West Texas and Southern New Mexico since 2008. With over 1,000 solar installations, Border Solar has serve both the residential and commercial sector, as well as Private and Public Sector. In addition, in 2012 it also expanded to serve Mexico market, and has become one of the leading developers of large scale solar project in that Country, serving also the residential and commercial market. Border Solar was established in 2008 as a division of Southwest Sustainable Energy, LLC and created with the sole purpose to deploy and develop Solar Energy Systems and technologies that help reduce our community Green House Gases.
