Being a member of IEC of San Antonio is an important part of our daily business, it's a win win situation for both parties. The IEC of San Antonio is a benefit to us as a contractor and to our student apprentices. They educate our apprentices on a wide range of electrical skills, electrical theory, electrical codes, the "how to" of electrical installations, 1st Aid and CPR. They offer classes to help some of our apprentices / helpers make the next step as a journeyman. They offer quarterly "lunch and learn" luncheons to help us get caught up on the latest products that will help us in the electrical industry and any upcoming issues that we may need to take action on.
The Independent Electrical Contractors of the San Antonio Chapter are leading the way in connecting electrical contractors stewardship and sound business practices within the local, state, government and industry leaders. Our goal at IEC is to offer independent electrical contractors quality educational programs, information, and services to help them excel in today's market. Established in San Antonio in 1933, IEC is a trade association made up of more than 3,200 merit shop electrical systems contractors within 55 chapters nationwide.
