Our history began in 1914, with the creation of Demmons Roofing, which offered quality commercial roofing services to clients through the Northeast. Exactly eighty years later, in 1994, the company merged with Maine Air Conditioning, which was founded in 1974, to expand the company into commercial HVAC solutions. With the acquisition of Maine Air Conditioning, W.H. Demmons became a global leader in the HVAC innovation and technology industry, after having completed its first geothermal building in the 1990s.

We work with our clients to create a customized HVAC solution, which we can then properly install. To ensure the system is operating at up-to-the-moment maximum efficiency, we will maintain the HVAC unit(s) using cutting-edge control systems. If anything goes wrong, we'll immediately know about it and dispatch a technician. For many of our clients, it's vital that their HVAC units operate according to very specific parameters - even a few degrees difference could result in drastic financial losses - which is why we offer a broad range of state-of-the-art HVAC services.

As the oldest business unit of W.H. Demmons, Inc., Demmons Roofing has been installing quality commercial roofs since 1914. We specialize in energy efficient designs that will reduce costs to commercial and high-end residential customers, both in Maine and elsewhere. We offer same-day service on most leaks and provide service to many local Maine property managers and building owners. Our construction staff offers installation of quality commercial roofing materials. In 2007 and 2008, our company received the "Master Contractor" Quality Award, winning applicator of Duro-Last "Cool Roof" membrane, as well as Firestone Building Products EPDM and UNA-CLAD roofing systems.

Our fabrication facility is capable of handling a wide range of custom fabrication projects. Our Sheet Metal Shop is completely automated and computerized. Our projects consist of air distribution ductwork for heating and cooling systems, kitchen hood installation including welded ductwork, roofing, and ventilation systems.

The engineers of W.H. Demmons work with clients to create an HVAC/R solution appropriate for each project's specific needs and parameters, including control of humidity, odors, energy recovery, temperature, and fresh makeup air.

Like all our geothermal projects since then, we created for the client a customized solution, designed by our in-house professional engineering staff, and installed by our own crews. Catholic Charities is still our customer 24 years later, and this geothermal HVAC system is still maintained by W.H. Demmons today. We are committed to designing solutions that last and last, and our track record is proof of that commitment.
