In 1996, Peter Luchsinger dreamt up the idea of an internet store for drip irrigation products, specifically designed for the homeowner, landscaper, and commercial grower. Then, a highly experienced staff in micro-irrigation systems was gathered. The dream was brought to life and in 1997, The Drip Store was born. Then in 2003 Peter sold The Drip Store to pursue a dream and after 13 years away he and his family have bought back The Drip Store in December of 2016. A note from Pete. I was never even thinking about coming back to The Drip Store but sometimes things just happen in life and you have to roll with it.

Excellent customer service for a DIY homeowner. We have a container garden; much more efficient than manually watering.

I recently received 100' of drip line. 50' of run was seriously kinked. I was able to straighten out the run but every place there had been a kink the plastic was discolored and clearly stressed. As soon as I released the drip line it wanted to recoil back into the kinked position. I spoke to Eric Luchsinger who claimed the coil is sometimes shipped kinked. Od course I found that hard to believe as we all no the pitfalls of a kinked drip line. He refused to ship replacement drip line even though I sent pictures of the kinks per his request. The web site claims excellent customer satisfaction but I, for one, am far from satisfied. Think twice before your purchase from The Drip Store.

What's new?

Yes, that's corn! But not the edible part. This special variety of corn has external roots covered in a sugary substance. Beneficial bacteria live in the goop and provide the plant with significant amounts of nitrogen, meaning less fertilizer is required. Isn't that cool?

Not specifically garden related, but still a fun idea if you're stuck at home and have some wood to mess around with. The article says "Woodworking with Youngsters" but as a 28 year old man I've gotta say, that catapult looks awesome!

#DripTip: To achieve a clean look and to simplify the installation of 1/2" poly tubing in a raised bed, drill a 3/4" hole below the top of the raised bed, and then install the poly tubing through the hole. Manual shut off valves can be installed at each bed to close off the system after harvesting.
