Roof Curb Systems

At RCS our job begins on the roof where we apply building principles to our system solutions to provide you with the right tools for success. With a 15-minute installation time and optimal design, TRAC Rail is the key curb support system for the most critical component on the roof. Our patented product is pre-fabricated requiring minimal fasteners and installs from the top for convenience and ease. The origins of TRAC Rail were derived as the response to the improper types of curbs being installed on Metal Buildings resulting in leaks, damages, and a scar on our industry.

Flat-Flange curbs offer great flexibility for new and retro-fit applications. For roofs with panels out of modulation, loose rib caps and plugs can offer a good option. RCS will not recommend rubber, polypropylene-based, or ABS plastic rib covers as the fasteners can too easily cut into the cap base. We exclusively offers aluminum rib caps & plugs designed for specific roof panel types with custom developed dies to ensure long-term weather-tightness and durability. This Seam to Seam style, which we refer to as the Seam-In curb, offers the best protection for roof penetrations and actually becomes part of the roof by shingling into the roof system essentially like a roof panel.

Historically, curb companies take the component approach - the void that forces the customer to be responsible for determining the correct curb size and application. This transfers the burden to the builder, releasing the curb company from all responsibility. Curb support is then left to the contractor, accessories may or may not be included, and installation details are left to others. Whether your issues are related to new construction or you have issues with a pre-existing structure, RCS offers the solution to meet your needs.

Through extensive research, RCS has developed specific criteria for our skylight domes to combine exceptional light transmittance and hail resistance. By using a clear Monolithic-Polycarbonate outer dome and a white Impact Modified Acrylic Prismatic inner dome, we now offer a line of skylights that provides the light diffusion we expect by way of a Prismatic lens with the durability of an outer glazing that surpasses FM's Severe Hail Test. An AAMA compliant thermally broken frame constructed from 6063-T5 aluminum frames mitigates condensation and rounds out this unit's industry leading 15-year warranty.
