40 years and going strong. We've been a spray foam insulation contractor, making your building or home energy efficient since 1978. You can get a free, no-obligation inspection and quote! At Energy Shield Inc., we're dedicated to providing you the highest quality commercial roofing and spray foam insulation systems. Since 1978, we've been an industry leader and innovator in the application of spray foam roofing, fluid applied roof coatings, and spray foam insulation systems. For 40 years, Energy Shield has been a leader in the commercial roofing industry.

David Fritzinger established Energy Shield Inc. in 1978. Dave graduated from Indiana State University with a Bachelor's in Chemistry. With his degree, he began working for a large paint manufacturer. Here, Dave learned about all the amazing properties of spray polyurethane foam. He knew that he had seen a product he could market, one that would provide superior insulation, waterproofing, and durability, surpassing all other products in the marketplace. In 2014, Dave handed the company down to his son Karl.

Acoustical Insulation is spray-on insulation made with soft glass fibers, and a polymer adhesive that creates an insulation barrier that's non-combustible and non-toxic. It can be applied to just about any surface or structure. With a single pass, it has a high R-value for maximum insulation. Technical: It can be applied 5″ thick, providing R-20 insulation value, and it requires no mechanical support. On vertical surfaces, it can be applied up to 7″ thick to provide an insulation value of R-28.

The R-Value measures how much heat the insulation will let flow through it. Depending on the thickness of your wall structure, and the foam density, our R-value is R6.4 per inch or R23.3 at 3. While standard fiberglass batts and blankets have an R-Value of 3.0 to 4.0 per inch. Because our spray foam emits very low chemical emissions, it's safer all around. On the inside, you get a high-density 10lb spray foam that meets the Class A (Class 1) fire rated standards. On the outside, you get a 2lb medium-density foam, which is Appendix X certified.

Energy Shield Residential Insulation will fill every crack and crevice, and help to insulate and waterproof your attic. This will not only save you on energy costs, but it will reduce internal damage from water. Energy Shield Residential Insulation creates a seamless air barrier, keeping the air and heat in, which means more efficient use of your heater and AC units, they work less, the insulation works more. Basements are typically cooler, if it's a finished one, that means that your heater has to work twice as hard to keep the temperature where you want it, our insulation will correct that, and keep the temperature stable.

Flat roof tear-offs and re-builds are incredibly expensive, especially in comparison to roofing repair solutions. Depending on the size of your facility, the roof-top units, levels removed, and materials. A 10,000-square foot flat roof removal and disposal could cost you between $21,000 to $32,000 depending on the factors above. Then you have to pay for the new roof, which costs between $42,000 and $66,000. Now you're looking at $63,000 to $98,000 for ten years of protection, and none of the energy saving benefits.

If you're looking at our website, you're having problems with your metal roof and are looking for repair options. We have several solutions that will help you to avoid a costly tear-off, and forever stop corrosion. The most significant problem your metal roof faces is paint cracking and peeling under harsh UV exposure, and weather conditions, which leads to corrosion, your worst enemy. When your roof corrodes it can lead to leaks, collapse, substrate damage, and it looks terrible. Our repair solutions include silicone metal roof coatings combined with spray foam insulation for added protection and energy cost reductions.

There are many spray foam insulation applications. Since it's so versatile, it will work for you in almost any situation - insulate yourself. Using Energy Shield Insulation will make the difference you never thought possible. Its waterproof, airtight, and stronger than any other insulations with higher R-Values. It's a sound insulator, mold, pest, and pollutant resistant. It even reduces construction waste, has lower maintenance costs, and make your building stronger. There are many spray foam insulation applications, and since it's so versatile, it can be applied to any commercial or industrial construction material, such as concrete block, concrete, brick, steel, wood, laminates and even exterior sheathing boards.

Your roof protects you, so you should protect it with a spray foam or silicone roof coating. Prevent the issues that can cost thousands of dollars, intolerable working conditions, and an uncomfortable building. Roofing systems such as built-up roofing, elastomeric, metal roofs, weathered single-ply membranes, and mineral cap sheets, have many problems. All of these issues can create a perfect storm for your working conditions or your tenants. When a roof starts to sag, the water from the rain or snowmelt will pool in one spot, eventually wearing down the roofing material, and penetrating the surface and next thing you know that water is on your floor.

Whether it's metal, or flat, roofs come with a variety of issues. Among them are: Leaks, sagging, and air loss. With any roof surface coatings, there are seams, and holes from fasteners. The seams and holes grow as the temperature and condensation make them expand and contract to lead to an increase in air loss, and eventually leaks. These problems have a massive impact on productivity, equipment, the overall work environment, tenant retention, and your energy bills. Luckily, Energy Shield's spray foam flat roof repair solution is simple; it doesn't need you to shut-down your operation or remove your roof.

Furthermore, our solutions offer superior weather protection. Flashing, and roof coverings won't need to be replaced, extending your roof life indefinitely. Our spray foam solutions offer a seamless air barrier, that stops air from escaping through the roof. As a result, your HVAC systems work less and provide a more comfortable experience. Stopping leaks is just a benefit in itself. But, if you own a building and lease to tenants, you could save yourself the cost of acquiring new tenants after a disastrous roof leak.

Flat roofs are very common. Unfortunately, so are issues with the materials used in building them. Flat roofs are prone to leaks, bowing, sinking, flashing problems, pooling water, membrane buckling, and if not reflective, air leakage. Luckily, we can fix all of that. We've been a commercial roofing and insulation contractor for more than 40 years. There are many different types of roofs, and we have a solution that will stop leaks and renew any kind of weathered roofs. Our silicone roof coating system is an economical, and responsible solution for new roofs.
