Merit Contracting is your source for quality building enclosure systems including roofing, waterproofing, metal wall panel systems, and glazing systems. We are proud members of the National Roofing Contractors Association and the Midwest Roofing Contractors Association. Merit has also been recognized as a Firestone Master Contractor and has earned the Firestone Inner Circle of Quality Award. Located in Rochester, MN Merit provides services for Southern Minnesota and Northeast Iowa. It is Merit's policy to strive for the highest safety standard possible in all of our operations and projects.

Merit recognizes waterproofing is a vital component to the health of your building and provides quality waterproofing installations below grade, behind wall systems as applicable, and at the roof level. For buildings desiring waterproofing for rooftop plazas, Merit provides installations of patio and vegetated systems. Merit has trained installers of the Hydrotech Monolithic Membrane 6125® which is a thick, tough, flexible, self-healing membrane for use in waterproofing. MM6125 is a special formulation of refined asphalts and synthetic rubbers.

Merit provides low-slope roofing systems for new construction and roof replacement and standing seam metal or shingle systems for steep-slope roofing. Protect your roofing system investment with a warranty and maximize the life of your roof through regular maintenance. A variety of full system warranty options covering materials and workmanship depending on your roof system are available. Terms of the warranty can range from five years to a comprehensive 30-year warranty. In addition to installation, our Service Department is available for any maintenance issues necessary for existing roofs.

Merit Contracting's in-house sheet metal department provides a wide variety of Custom Fabrication and Architectural Design specializing in Copper, Pre-Finished Steel, and Aluminum. Our cap profiles have been certified to meet the ANSI-SPRI/ES-1 wind blow off requirements.

Merit's comprehensive Service Department is available for all your building envelope service needs. Additionally, we can work with contractors on building remodels involving relocation of rooftop mechanical units and additional re-roof items. Our service department can help problem solve with the building owner any issues arising from potential leaks or defects on existing roofs. Also, our Walls Department can handle service related items pertaining to window and door systems. During Business Hours 8:00 am to 5:00 pm call 507-281-4317 and ask for the Service Department.

Merit's full service Walls Department is a provider and installer of a variety of glazing and wall panel solutions. In addition to installation, Merit also provides wall inspections as part of our Asset Management Program and wall repairs for glazing, thru wall flashings, and panel systems. Formed wall panels can be hidden or exposed fastener. Merit has experience installing Firestone formed panel profiles as well as other manufacturers such as Centria.
