For the first time in 27 years of business JC is having to adjust the estimated project cost in between the original price estimate and the start of construction. While there are several factors playing into this current market volatility, few of these are within our ability to control. If you just had concrete placed at your home or you have a new home, DO NOT put salt or de-icer on the concrete! The NRMCA recommends the concrete be a least a year old before you use any kind of de-icer. The top of the concrete can pop off. Just use sand or remove the snow. It’s also best that you remove the snow from freshly placed concrete. What can happen is that when the snow starts melting and then it re-freezes, the top of the concrete can pop off due to the moisture gets in the surface
