Sherrill Park Golf Course is open and providing service following protective measures created by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other health professionals. 1. Book tee times on the Sherrill Park website (with a booking fee), over the phone, or in-person at the clubhouse. 4. The snack bar is open for outside window service and seating is limited to 75% capacity. The 2012 Dallas Morning News ranking was just the latest recognition for Sherrill Park, which has consistently received honors from golf professionals, writers and executives for the quality of play, course design and golfer experience.

The City of Richardson uses the Weather Bug app that includes a Spark Lightning feature which identifies where the nearest strike of lightning has occurred. If there is lighting within a ten mile radius of the aquatic center it will close for at least a half hour. The facility will remain closed for a half hour succeeding the last lightning strike within a ten mile radius. For the safety of our patrons all patrons must leave the pool gate area and remain outside the facility until it is deemed safe to reopen.

Residential solid waste collection is provided twice a week and residential recycling is provided once a week to approximately 27,500 households. Additionally, the Public Services Department collects Commercial solid waste from approximately 1,500 customers up to six times a week. This service helps residents dispose of large amounts of brush or oversized items like unwanted appliances or furniture that cannot be placed out for regular trash collection. Recycling helps prevent nearly 86.9 million tons of material from being disposed of in the US each year.
