Our all-natural bark contains no harmful pesticides, creosotes, chemicals or wood waste. When applied before the growing season, bark mulch works as a superb pre-emergent weed control with high moisture retention abilities.

This 40-50 year old bark has been sitting in an unprocessed stockpile for years creating a very dark mulch with a neutral pH and an earthy aroma. It looks almost black when wet, but once it dries it's more of a chocolate brown color. A mixture of softwoods, including northern white cedar, has been tinted with an environmentally safe colorant. This fine textured mulch provides a striking contrast to brightly colored flowers and gardens. Our Natural Cedar Mulch is not only aromatic, but long-lasting due to the high mineral content that reduces decomposition.
