For spring color, we plant drifts of bulbs, spring flowering shrubs such as azaleas, lilacs, and viburnums, and a some choice flowering trees (dogwoods, cherries, apples). For summer, perennials and summer flowering shrubs such as butterfly bush, spirea and hydrangeas provide lots of interest and color. For the fall, we look to shrubs and trees with spectacular fall color, as well as plants with berries, and finally late blooming perennials such as asters and chrysanthemums.
