Founder William Leupitz originally established Silverton Pest and Termite Control in 1974 in Silverton, Oregon. Within a few short years his company-renamed Leupitz Contractors Inc. in 1981-was providing pest management, 'pest and dry rot' inspections, and construction repair services to a growing real estate and consumer residential market in the mid-Willamette Valley. Eventually it became necessary to move the center of operations from Silverton to Salem-Oregon's State Capital-to accommodate the growth.
