Although it is advisable for consumers to ask about or even request a copy of a company's credentials, it rarely happens, so we decided to build a page dedicated to our professional credentials to make it easier for homeowners to obtain this information without feeling uncomfortable asking us face-to-face. This license is issued by the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation. A MHIC license is required of any contractor who is going to make the following exterior home improvements (improvements that apply to Kingdom Landscaping's services are highlighted in boldface type).
Aquascape is the leading company in all things pond related. We use all of their products to design and install water features and we are CAC's (Certified Aquascape Contractors). From building backyard ponds to house his pet turtles to building ponds to make money over the summer, Greg Wittstock, aka The Pond Guy, has been dabbling in water gardens since the age of 12. He began with a concrete creation and evolved to the ecosystem ponds that Aquascape is well known for. Now that you know how Wittstock's love of ponds began, here's how Aquascape, Inc. has grown and evolved into what it is today.
Hardscaping is a term used to define outdoor living spaces that are constructed out of concrete materials such as pavers, retaining wall block, veneer stone, and similar products. Utilizing the latest tools and techniques, we actually make laying pavers look fun and easy. Submit a picture of the area for your hardscape, and we will provide you with a "ballpark" cost estimate to have this work done by our professional team. After establishing a budget for your project based on the FREE online estimate, we would be happy to move forward with an in-home design consultation.
Mulch is a form of ground covering and is used around trees and shrubs, along either side of the driveway, around the house foundation, under hedges, in vegetable and cutting gardens or anywhere that you want to cover bare earth. From a design standpoint, mulch adds continuity to landscape beds within the yard, helps to make a newly planted gardens look fuller, and softens the line between garden and grass. But mulch is far more than just a pretty ground covering. It's a real garden workhorse! Mulch deflects the sun and keeps moisture in the ground, keeping the soil cooler in the summer.
Water gardening has become the latest trend for outdoor hobbyists. Whether it's the soothing sound of running water, the beauty of water lilies, or the captivating movement of koi and goldfish darting her and there, a backyard water feature is the most enjoyable part of any landscape. Our Journey to Aquascape's Master CAC Status Although we began installing Aquascape Water Features in 1998 and we were an Aquascape Retailer (Water Gardens & More.) from 2004 to 2006, we never pursued the Certified Aquascape Contractor program until 2010. Why in the world did we wait so long? Time and excuses! Or maybe it could be better stated that we made the EXCUSE that we didn't have the TIME to put all of the documentation together and jump through the necessary hoops to become a. No, it's not Santa!

Let us create a paradise in your backyard! You don't have to spend thousands upon thousands of dollars for a vacation that whisks you away from the daily pressures of life for only a week or two in order to experience this relaxation. Invite the idea of a water garden into your mind in your own backyard. It will be the perfect "Stay-cation!" Kingdom Landscaping can custom design and build the water feature you desire to meet your outdoor living space goals and budget. However, we would like to present you with a few basic designs along with pricing to give you an idea of your options.
Pavers are both durable and stylish. They are several times stronger than concrete and have a longer lifetime than asphalt or gravel. In addition, you can choose from a variety of colors, textures, and sizes, so you can have a driveway that reflects your taste and your personality. When choosing a paver for a driveway, ICPI recommends an interlocking pattern instead of large slabs. The strongest interlocking pattern is herringbone, either in a 4x8 or 6x9 paver. Other options would include the "I" pattern (6x6/6x9) or some of the smaller modular (random) patterns.
There are many options available when considering a fountain. Fountains are self-contained water features with no plants or fish. The water level in fountains needs to be replenished on a regular basis if they are running 24/7 due to evaporation and splashing. This is a simple, low-maintenance, and inexpensive way to enjoy the soothing sound of water. Also available are custom-designed fountainscapes to fit your setting and your budget. Here is a custom "bubbling rock fountain" that we installed for Bester Elementary School in Hagerstown, Maryland.
Every home benefits from some type of patio or walkway. It's up to you to decide what kind of statement you want your home to make. Having all the facts is important to choose the right pavement: asphalt, decorative stone, natural stone, concrete, stamped concrete, or pavers. If you are undecided, please request our ICPI brochure entitled "The Beauty of Choosing the Right Pavement." The beauty of pavingstones is the wide range of choices to match your style. Whether your style is traditional, modern, rustic, or somewhere in between, there is a paver to reflect your personal style and provide a focal point for your outdoor living.
There are some very simple, specific steps that must be taken to determine the cause of water loss. The possibility of a hole in the liner is way at the bottom of the list. The Good News is that there is usually a very simple solution to the problem. The Bad News is that it's finding the cause of the problem that poses the challenge. It is usually due to some settling of the soil along the edge, especially if you notice the water level dropping after a heavy rainstorm. You can immediately look at the picture on the right, and see the area where the mulch is darker and saturated with water.
No project is too small! Maybe originally you just got a paver patio, but now you're ready to add on to your entertainment possibilities with a fire pit! We can work with you to "upgrade" your already gorgeous backyard. More than half of our summer evenings are spent sitting around the firepit roasting marshmallows, brats, or plain ol' hotdogs. We highly recommend adding a fire pit to your backyard and assure you that it is something you, your spouse, your kids, and even your grandkids will enjoy.
We have been blessed to be chosen once again by EP Henry for their annual photo shoot of our projects for possible inclusion in their 2021 EP Henry Product Catalog. Photos of our projects have appeared in their 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2020 catalogs. This year, however, was a little different. Why? Because this year Andrew Ludewig and Matt Basara brought their drones! Last summer Glenn Hetrick (EPH Sales Rep) and Andrew Ludewig (EPH Photographer) came to visit our facility and photograph five of our hardscape projects for possible inclusion in the EP Henry 2020 sales catalog.
The new 2021 EP Henry hardscaping catalog has been released and our projects are featured on many pages. Check it… https://t.co/NR9MNHgLGd
