0 stars! Last week I called to schedule a sod pickup. Williams requires that you have a trailer with no ramp so after much discussion, they said I could rent an inclosed U-Haul trailer and that would be fine. I rented the trailer on Wednesday in preparation for picking up sod Thursday morning. 7:30am Thursday morning as I am driving to their farm I receive a call from Linda stating they don't have my sod.
I asked why not and she could not give me an exact answer and said she would find out and call back no later than 8:15. I sat in a parking lot for ~45min waiting for her call and when she called back she further stated they did not have my sod and told me extremely rudely that they would not do business with me and to go somewhere else. Mind you I have already rented a trailer and adjusted my schedule to pick this sod up. Linda reason was due to a poor review I wrote on YP 2 years ago.
The review is justified in how they handled, or lack there of, my previous lawn issues. The review is very mild and didn't nearly get into the details of what actually happened. So when Linda stated this I tried to talk to her and she hung up the phone on me (exactly what she did 2yrs ago). Yes I was angry with what I went through in preparation to get this sod and now had to find another place, but I chose not to call her back. Linda then proceeded to text message me stating what did I think was going to happen.as if they led me to believe I could get the sod, rent a trailer and drive to them only to pull this stunt and cancel last minute as payback for a bad review?
I texted back stating how unprofessional this was (and yes I have the entire text conversation saved) and she proceeded to threaten me to write a bad review at my place of employment targeting me specifically, which mind you my job has absolutely nothing to do with the conflicts between her and I and lawn care. She continued to call me immature and that is when I refused to respond to her. Williams sod farm is a COMPLETELY unprofessional company with no regard for customer service. Linda is the rudest receptionist and frankly does not care how she treats anybody.
I'm sorry, but no receptionist should cuss or hangup the phone on a customer, especially when the customer is not being rude. If the previous review bothered them that much then the proper thing would have been to call the customer and find out why they are upset and try to resolve the issue, which Williams NEVER did. I will never recommend Williams to anybody and I advise to to find an alternative sod farm as I have done!
