Rich, a certified Landscape Designer, has been designing and installing landscapes in the upstate region for 25+ years. His actual experience began in 1973 with 'Regan Lawn Service' in Savannah, GA. He has personally supervised the installation of several million dollars worth of landscaping and hardscaping projects. When he is not at work he can usually be found doing something with his 12 year old twin boys - who are future Byrnes Rebels football stars. Mike, a well known Spartanburg businessman and Wofford College allumni, brings excellent customer service and a wealth of construction experience to our team.

Our full service lawn care program is the best way to keep your lawn and landscaped ares pristine with thick, lush, green grass, weed free beds and healthy plantings. Once you have the back yard of your dreams let us keep it looking great with our lawn care in Greenville, SC -Spartanburg, SC or Simpsonville, SC. Not only will we keep your grass green and lush, we provide all the lawn services - lawn maintenance necessary to make your South Carolina yard a showplace. And we do it year-round, for a flat monthly fee to keep things consistent and convenient.

There is nothing quite so soothing as sitting out by a nice garden pond with the relaxing sound of a meandering stream. We design and build you a water feature that will fit into your landscape. We can make your water feature fit into your back yard ideas. Our landscapes design can provide for a pondless waterfall, a formal type of pond or a beautiful koi pond. We have found a way to fit a nice koi pond into the smallest area (with a waterfall too!). We also have created a 'park' size pond that had waterfalls, a long stream leading up to the pond, a bridge over that stream and the koi pond itself was big enough to hold 80 koi.

Well built wooden fences are very different from your average fence. We use pressure treated pine wood. Each of our posts are set in concrete. We don't use nails in the construction of your wooden fence, we screw in the braces and the pickets. We use extra support to lessen the warping and leaning of your fence gates. Most anyone can build a fence that looks good the day they finish. We build your fence to look good, gates working, and not be leaning. As far as the style of your wooden fence. If you can imagine it, we can build it.

Professional installation of walkways and patios. Outdoor Kitchens, Brick, stone, pavers, concrete pavers, flagstone. We have over 200 quality projects completed in the Greenville, SC -Spartanburg, SC and Simpsonville, SC area. On Rich's blog you can see 20 different phases of an outdoor patio we built - with a pergola. A uniquely designed patio created with long lasting pavers can be a reality for your Greenville or Spartanbug, South Carolina garden. We bring your backyard ideas and garden patio design dreams to a beautiful reality.

It doesn't matter if you call it a sprinkler system, lawn irrigation or landscape irrigation. Blue Dot Landscaping has the experience and expertise to help you have the most beautiful lawn on your lane. In upstate SC, if you want a pristine and healthy lawn, you simply must have a landscape irrigation system. Beautiful flower beds, healthy shrubs and trees all need the benefits of what a professionally installed landscape irrigations system delivers. A typical water hose in our area delivers a maximum of about 2-3 gallons per minute of watering.

Your landscape needs to look good at night too! Landscape lighting gives you the advantage of better security and will add to your landscape design. Bad guys don't like to approach well lit areas. We can design and install the perfect system for your home. You can obtain the "moonlit" look, well lit with landscape lights but not looking like a commercial bank. We normally use a mix of path lights, up lights and other features to enhance your night view of your landscape. Welcome guests and family to your home with attractive and safety-minded landscape lighting.

Landscape architecture/design at Blue Dot is not like others that involve the design of landscapes at a variety of scales-from large apartment complexes, multi-functional sites to small convenience stores. We specialize in designing and planning for the individual homeowner. Your personal plan will be designed with you in mind. We want to know your backyard ideas. We want to know what type of trees and shrubs you want in your landscaping. Your landscaping ideas are important. Of course, we give advice as to what plantings will and will not work.

Selecting the right grass for your lawn is important. Blue Dot Landscaping has the experience and talent to help you grow your best lawn. There are literally thousands of different options and different types of grass seed. Most of what does well in our area can be categorized into one of three grass types. Fescue is our most prevalent cool season grass, the other two are warm season grasses: Zoysia and Bermuda We can install your lawn by laying sod or by seeding. We also can handle your lawn care.

At Blue Dot Landscaping we have not one but TWO nationally certified Segmental Retaining Wall Installers. The National Concrete Masonry Association is the industry standard when it pertains to properly built masonry retaining walls. Our landscapes design team can help you with your back yard ideas. Retaining wall design and material selection can have several options. Designing any retaining wall requires a knowledge of lateral earth pressure. We know how to design your wall not only so that it is appealing to the eye but also for stability.

My experience with this company was very negative. We had agreed on certain things that were to be done. The company made changes without my authorization that were not close to the quality we had discussed. The main issue was the steps that were built. They were supposed to be a set of steps with one step per rise. They ended up doing the steps two deep. I would have been fine with that had they been supported like the steps we originally discussed. Instead the steps were cemented horizontally, unevenly placed height wise so that some of the individual risers are not even level, they are not supported completely underneath so the cemented line is cracked and some of the steps wiggle, and some steps are placed at a slant as much as 3 off. I contacted the BBB with no successful result. We could not agree on what needed to be done, and the company refused to do arbitration with the BBB and myself.

A few weeks ago, my dad (87) was working in his yard with his weedeater on a hot day. He tripped and fell in the front yard. A couple was passing by and seen him fall and immediatley stopped to help. They helped him up and checked to make sure he wasn't injured. Deb and I had gotten a call from a...

Looks like a normal path with stones placed in mulch. But no... it's underneath which makes it durable. 4 inches of crushed stone, 1 1/2 inches of sand. The stone is Tennessee flagstone and is 3-4 inches thick. You'll be able to dance on this stone for many years
