The Bonness family has been doing business in Southwest Florida for over 35 years. Bonness' roots in construction began in 1925 when the family opened Highway Pavers Inc., a small paving business in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Their first experience with the Southwest Florida area harkens back to 1935 when they did a road project in Naples. Subsequently they fell in love with the Gulf Coast and eventually relocated to Collier County in 1967. In 1983, with roots firmly planted in the community, the company took the name Better Roads Inc. and quickly expanded to offer more products and services than ever, including decorative landscape stone and gravel.
