What started out as a temporary job for two 21-year-olds has evolved into present day K&B Tree and Lawn Care. Affiliation with organizations such as Wisconsin Arborists Association, International Society of Arboriculture, and other green industry groups has kept the partners ahead of the pack regarding state-of-the-art care for trees, shrubs, and lawns. Marty Owens began work at K&B in August 2002 as a helpful hand. His talents evolved to company electrician, mechanic and shop manager. Marty now manages our large fleet of vehicles, skid loaders and small engine equipment and in general keeps the company working.
Our landscape services began at K&B in the spring of 2013. We offer most any service from design, installation, hardscape elements like retaining walls and patios, seeding, sodding, drainage correction and custom fire features. The division manager, Tim Eilbes, is a Registered Landscape Architect that has been landscaping in southern Wisconsin since 2004.
With other services like pest control, mulch delivery and pick up, snow removal (Beaver Dam only), holiday lighting and more-you're a consultation away from having all of your outdoor troubles taken care of. Asian lady bugs, box elder bugs, spiders, ants, lake flies, earwigs, bees, hornets-we'll spray outside so the bugs don't get inside! No contracts, as-needed visits, and great service. Prevent the Emerald Ash Borer from affecting your ash trees, we'll treat them every other year with a proven insecticide to ensure a healthy tree through the infestation.
With services offered like lawn applications, tree fertilizing, core aeration and more-our certified applicators will help you improve your lawn and keep it that way! We offer up to five applications in our lawn weed and feed programs. You can choose the number of applications that work best for you. At K&B, there is no telemarketing and no hard selling to constantly add services that you don't want. We'll work with you to set up the right program for your lawn and budget. Done once a year - spring or fall - aeration removes thousands of soil cores from your lawn, which melt back into turf when it rains.
Our crews have the experience to safely and efficiently remove trees from your landscape. We will be respectful of your property and communicate with you throughout the project until it is completed to your satisfaction. Excellent yard clean up after the job is done is our trademark. Proper pruning techniques, performed by skilled and experienced trimmers are essential for the long-term health and safety of your trees. Improper pruning can ruin the looks and branch structure of your trees and cause problems for years to come.
