Customers choosing to install renewable energy systems, also referred to as Distributed Energy Resources or "DER's", that are interconnected to the utility system must contact their utility and also obtain proper permitting through the City of Austin. Austin Utilities DER interconnection process is divided into three different tracks based generally on system size. Please review the information below to better understand Austin Utilities DER interconnection process.

Commercial/Industrial Customers: Amount will be the highest monthly bill in the last 12 months or $500, whichever is greater. Thank you Doug & Skip from the AU Electric Department! My dryer & furnace went out which I thought was just bad luck & mechanical issues! They came.

Austin Utilities have been at our house quite a few times this last year. Our furnace is pretty old and we also ended up having to replace a coil in.

Thanks for the fast response to check on my water heater! Tech was able to fix the issue and got hot water in less than hour!

What's new?

Attention: Power has been restored on 19th Ave SW. Thank you.
