I have many plants from Paul and Nila They installed our three water totes back in the horrible drought. We have shopped Wichita Valley Landscaping for many years. If you want an unusual plant that is tough and drought tolerant-see Paul. We especially love our cross vines.
Stopped by here for the first time today, hands down one of the coolest places I've been to in Wichita falls. Really beautiful variety of plants. Great staff! Learned about so many wonderful native plants and got some great tips and advice. Highlight of my day. Wonderful business, we will be back in the near future!
HOMETOWN GARDENER 3/7/21 Last week on my way to work I saw one of my neighbor’s yards that had that telltale blue marker dye used in chemical lawn treatment. “What a waste,” I thought. The idea that chemical treatment will result in a weed free lawn out here in the country borders on insanity. Maybe it will have some positive result in the short term but I’m sure that Nature will have her way no matter how many treatments this person pays for. Right next door was a lawn covered in the violet
And the good news is.... After to today the temps will go to 60's and 70's for the next 9 or 10 days. No freezing nights. Things will start to wake up. Spring is near so thyme is of the essence. Transplant woody trees and shrubs as needed now before bud break for minimal damage. Call, message, or...
HOMETOWN GARDENER 2/28/21 So I just got back from the live and in person 2021 Arts Alive Home and Garden Expo. I was so happy they decided to do this one in spite of the you-now-what virus. All the vendors I talked with said they did OK. Some did very well. Especially those selling hand crafted items and food stuff. The salsa booth was hot-to-go with folks standing in line. The spirit and enthusiasm was still there. This show has always been so important to so many who live in our communities..
For most garden related things that time is now. Waiting only gets you closer to The Heat. ☯
