Alex Zahri and Jay Stauss founded Classic Landscapes in October of 2003 with one employee and one truck. Since then they have built a multi-million dollar organization that serves over 100 properties, employs over 90 full-time employees, and has a fleet of over 30 vehicles and heavy equipment. Classic Landscapes is a Licensed C-10 Contractor that is able to provide a wide range of services including design-build landscape installation, enhancements to existing landscape, and high-end landscape maintenance.
Alex has been in the landscape industry in Nevada for over 30 years. He attended the University of Nevada Las Vegas studying Business Management and is recognized as a Certified Water Auditor by the Irrigation Association. Jay has been in the landscape industry in Nevada for over 15 years. He is a graduate from the University of Arizona, is fluent in Spanish, and is a Certified Arborist. Tia has 25 years of accounting experience in the landscape and construction industries. She is responsible for all aspects of our accounting department including AR, AP, billing and payroll.
Classic Landscapes is proud to partner with Nevada Real Estate Division, Homeowner Talk TV, and Community Association Institute to provide comprehensive educational seminars, and information on best horticulture practices for desert living. We are the only landscape contractor to offer Landscape 101, a 3-hour seminar which is offered to Community Association Managers. Attendance is highly recommended for Board Members and Homeowners interested in learning more about how to maintain, enhance, and preserve one of the largest investments within their communities.

As Water Smart Contractors, our construction division has successfully performed countless conversion projects resulting in securing 100% of Southern Nevada Water Authority approved rebates. We offer landscape design and rendering for qualified xeriscape applicants, as well as new irrigation installation, LEED-retrofit, concrete and hardscape installation, water management, and landscape budgeting services.
