Our American Exotics collection is an exceptional line of furniture made with specialty woods from sustainable sources. Each piece is a remarkable and functional work of art. Choose from unusual species, such as tiger maple, spalted maple, bird's-eye maple, quilted maple, butternut, bastogne walnut and reclaimed redwood, among others. We've even crafted furniture from wood harvested from a customer's own land! As with all our furniture, each piece is beautifully built, made to last and signed by the maker.

From our inception in 1973, Pompanoosuc Mills has been a green manufacturer-well before "green" became a buzzword. We generate a significant amount of the energy needed to run our company from our own waste, and all the wood we use to build our furniture is responsibly harvested from the forests of North America. Our build-to-order method allows us to use our solid North American hardwoods with exceptional efficiency, and any waste that's generated is used to fire our clean-burning co-generation plant.

For more than 40 years, we've been handcrafting furniture for our customers, one piece at a time, according to each customer's specifications. Or be inspired by a design and we'd be happy to customize it according to your preferences and spatial requirements. Many design customizations are free of charge! For our standard topcoat we use a specially formulated polyurethane finish that resists staining while producing a soft matte finish that allows the natural beauty of the wood to show through. When new, your furniture will likely have a very low sheen. Over time and with use it will develop a deep luster from the many times it has been touched and rubbed down. To dust, use a soft, slightly damp cloth. You may want to follow closely behind with a dry cloth which will keep the water from leaving (harmless, but visible) streaks on the surface as it dries.
