At WildLands, Inc., restoring the health and beauty of the land is the nature of our business. We started our company in 1987 with a staff of two specialists offering planting and erosion control. Today, we have over 30 full-time employees and numerous planting crews working year-round. We offer a full complement of eco-restoration services and enjoy a legacy of thriving wild lands contributing to attractive landscapes throughout the western United States. Clients We support clients in the private and public sectors.

WildLands uses a variety of irrigation techniques and systems to facilitate establishment of new plantings and provide for short- and long-term watering needs. We tailor approaches to the plants and the site and have proven above-ground and underground approaches for planting across the spectrum of ecosystems including wetlands and riparian buffer zones. We have devised successful methods for water conservation and ultra-efficient watering even on steep slopes.

The plans indicate the species, location and techniques for matching installation of plants to the natural vegetative growth of the site's surrounding plant community. We work quickly, mobilizing field crews, equipment, plant stock, and materials for installation of seed, plants, grasses, browse protectors, compost, mulch mats, and fertilizers. We have years of experience, and our work crews are highly trained and closely supervised to distinguish plants and exotics. We use planting techniques that promote plant establishment, control exotics and minimize disturbance of existing vegetation.

To prepare a site for plant installation, we tailor our approach to the physical characteristics of the site, planting requirements, and project goals. We use manual and mechanical techniques to clear and contour the site, removing debris and competing vegetation. We hand-scalp areas, where needed, to work around rocks and tree stumps. For sites with sensitive species, we have custom-built equipment that minimizes disturbance and protects existing vegetation. Throughout the process, we observe and identify subtle growth patterns in the existing vegetation and identify opportunities for micro-siting plants to compliment and enhance the area's natural growth.

WildLands offers complete landscaping services for commercial developments, residences, parks, recreation areas, golf courses, and agricultural lands. We specialize in landscapes that combine native plants and ornamentals in an attractive and harmonious setting. We offer cost-effective hydro applications for seeding lawns, golf courses, pastures and drylands. Additionally, landscape projects can include installation of rock, sod, retaining walls, natural stone, pathways, drainage systems, water features, low-voltage lighting, and fencing.

WildLands is highly skilled in designing and delivering erosion control strategies that provide effective, long-term stabilization. We support Conservation Reserve Program projects and offer unique approaches for riparian buffer zones and sites with steep slopes. Our erosion control specialists are Washington-state-trained and certified as Erosion and Sediment Control (ESC) Leads to provide technical support for highway, pipeline, and wind farm construction projects. We can mobilize quickly for emergency erosion control in areas damaged by fires and floods.
