Founded in 1993, S&S Rug Cleaners is Atlanta's premier area rug cleaning and restoration provider. Atlanta natives Steve Arroll and Stoney Green have more than 30 years each in the Oriental rug industry. Both began their careers at popular Buckhead area rug boutiques as buyers and managers. There, they cultivated their passion for rugs and customer service excellence and were able to connect with virtually every major rug line as well as providers of one-of-a-kind antiques and semi-antiques. They learned rug types, weaving and dyeing methods, and the history and origin of fine textiles.
Ourfive-step process employs the simple elements of air and water to deliver an extremely thorough, yet gentle cleaning. Though more time consuming, cleaning rugs by hand ensures that no stain is overlooked and a rug's delicate construction isn't placed under undue stress. This approach produces the most thorough cleaning for your treasured investment. The preliminary step of the process is known as air dusting or simply, dusting. Combining soft, powerful compressed air with specially designed patented tools helps to gently lift and remove dust and dry particles trapped deep inside the rug's fibers and foundation.
S&S uses a state-of-the-art, in-plant system employing patented tools and equipment designed specifically for cleaning Oriental and specialty rugs. Cleaning your rugs will take approximately one to two weeks, depending on the services you need. S&S offers complimentary rug pick-up and delivery and is happy to provide an in-home evaluation of your rugs as well.
