Report
We have been using Nicholas heating and cooling for all of our HVAC needs for the past 12 years and couldn't possibly be happier. Tom and his staff are always prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. Never once have they tried to sell me a service, product or part that I didn't need, in fact, it's just the opposite. I don't know if it's always the case, but Tom has never charged us to just come to the house and "take a look. " I feel that Tom and his staff are very forthright; Tom has both fixed our furnace, and our air conditioning system in the past when we thought we would need new units.
The very first time that we called Tom was for the air conditioning system, and we weren't familiar with him yet, he came, told us what it would take to fix the AC, and gave us an estimate. Not knowing we checked with another, well known HVAC company, and they came gave us an estimate and told us that we needed to replace the main conditioning unit, of course their estimate was much higher. Nine years later, when we sold the home, the air conditioning unit was still working fine. If you live in Amsterdam, Johnstown, G'ville or surrounding areas I highly suggest giving Nicholas Heating & Cooling a call; they've always done right by us!
