Thanks for your interest in LoneStar Fiberglass Pools. The owner of LoneStar Fiberglass Pools (Chris Owens) started out in the industry about 20+ years ago. He was working for a large national fiberglass pool company. During his first few years he directed the installation of several hundred fiberglass pools out of plants in Georgia, New Jersey, and Texas. He later progressed through the manufacturing and production operations, and was given the opportunity to open a new state of the art manufacturing plant in Texas where he was General Manager of the 100,000 square foot facility for 3 years.

That's what sets fiberglass pools apart from vinyl or concrete pools. Every LoneStar fiberglass pool is built in a controlled environment according to a rigid set of standards and specifications. An even coat of gel coat is sprayed and applied in 3 separate passes for a smooth appearance on your pool. 7. Steel pockets are then glassed inside the coping so your pool can be removed from the mold and transported. Best of all, you can bring your family for a free swim in the pool we have here in our back yard!

Before winterizing, be sure you've thoroughly cleaned your pool. Then, give your pool a good heavy shock treatment. Next, once chlorine has dropped back to normal level, add algaecide. After that, lower the water down just past the returns. This will get all the water out of the lines to prevent freezing and cracked pipes and it will keep your pool from becoming too full from rain or melting snow. Finally, Cover your pool for Winter! The white spots your seeing are more than likely calcium and Scale build up.

During freezing conditions, run your pool pump and filter continuously. Moving water freezes more slowly. If you have a variable speed pump, do not run it at the lowest speed. Adjust the speed up to ensure proper water flow.
