Tom and Cindy Jansen had a dream of starting their own business and on April 6, 1987, Jansen's Heating and Air was born. With a card table, push button phone, and one van, Tom and Cindy went to work and have grown to support 20+ families. Located on West Route 40 in Effingham, we have a state-of-the-art training facility, "Comfort Academy", which was the original office. That building is currently used to train our certified technicians. The main office has transformed twice to accommodate growth and houses geothermal heating and air systems.

A heat pump uses the outside air to both heat a home in winter and cool it in summer. A reversing valve switches the flow of Freon to warm for hot air or reversed, it will cool.
