Custom Lawn Care

Our Professional Turf Program provides a balanced, slow-release, fertilizer at the time of each treatment. Each Treatment will contain a different control product based on the time of the season, starting with Crabgrass Control in the Spring, Broadleaf Weed Control Pre-Summer, to Insect identification and control through mid Summer. GrubPro, a once a year Grub Control offered exclusively from Custom Personalized Lawn Care, will eliminate turf damaging grubs for ONE FULL SEASON. Guaranteed! Our State Certified Technicians apply our unique GrubPro service between June 10 and August 10 of each year for guaranteed results.

Mosquito Control: Mosquitoes become active as early as spring. Our Professional Technicians will apply a mist/low volume spray to mosquito harboring/breeding areas on your property. This will reduce mosquito activity for 4 to 6 weeks. Perimeter Pest Control: Michigan bugs become more active with the final winter. A Granular or liquid application (depending on the temperature) will be applied around your home's foundation. Mosquito Control: During late spring/early summer, our Technicians will focus control on harbourage and breeding areas to maintain control, reducing mosquitoes for 4 to 6 weeks.

A balanced slow-release granular fertilizer will be applied to promote a healthy spring green-up and a vigorous lawn ready to recover from its winter dormancy. A Cold Weather Weed Control may be applied if weather conditions allow. This product will get a jump-start on weed control and prepare it for the blanket weed control application that will be applied during the second treatment of the season. Late spring is the time to control those Dandelions AFTER they begin growing! A blanket application of liquid weed control will be applied to your entire property to control for early season germinating weeds.

Core Aeration is the mechanical process of removing plugs of soil throughout the lawn, making it easier for oxygen, water, and fertilizer to absorb into the soil and directly benefit the root system. Eight to ten weeks following an aeration, you can expect a new and deeper root system to develop, creating a lawn that is more resistant to drought, insect damage, and lawn disease. Custom Lawn Care recommends a core aeration once per year during the fall season. Fall is an ideal time to aerate because 85% of grass root growth takes place during this time.

Treatment begins, weather dependent, around the middle of April. The next 4 treatments are applied at intervals of 3-5 weeks throughout the season, depending on the number of treatments you are signed up for. Choosing less than our 5-Step Plan will result in greater time between treatments and a chance for an increase in Flea & Tick activity. Automatic Renewal of Services: To ensure the effectiveness of our seasonal turf treatments, and to maintain the integrity of a timely treatment schedule for the desired results, Custom Personalized Lawn Care is a continuing service from season to season.
