If you wish to visit the district for insect identification or to pick up mosquitofish, please call first to make an appointment. Also known as Aedes mosquitoes, this species of mosquito behaves differently from our native mosquitoes. They prefer to breed in small sources like flower pots, pet dishes, yard drains, etc. These mosquitoes are also aggressive day-time biters, so remember to wear repellent and dump out standing water! The District's Vector Control Technicians respond to resident concerns when they call in or use our website to create a service request.
