Citiworks, Corp. was founded as City Coal Co., in Pawtucket, RI in 1876. Over the years, the company evolved into a contracting business dealing primarily in exterior fence and iron work. Several specialty construction items have been added to the product mix over the years to ensure year-round production. In the 1960s, Citiworks, Corp. purchased Whatcheer Wire of Providence, RI to expand the woven wire products business. Looking to gain additional market share in the Boston area, in the 1980s, we acquired Dinn Fence and Highland Wire Works of Dorchester, MA.
