For more than 100 years, Heil has been at the forefront of excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction in the Waste Industry. In 1901 in a small rented building in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Julius P. Heil started the Heil Rail Joint Welding Co. Inspired by a new process called "welding", Julius Heil began applying the technology to rail cars. Before long he used the same process on tanks and truck bodies. As uses for electric welding grew, so did the Heil Co. Heil's first garbage truck bodies were built for the City of Milwaukee in the early 1900s.
Our mission at Environmental Solutions Group (ESG) is to improve lives. This is done by the products and services we provide to our customers, but also by the efforts done by our team members to help our communities.
The ESG Cares Team was proud to help supply pairs of pajamas and socks for a local nursing home through the "PJ Project" initiative. Our local team heard the project was coming up short on needed pajamas and were happy to be able to provide several pairs to help finish out the campaign for 2020.
