Since 1985, Hills Products Group has strived to differentiate itself from competitors by providing one of a kind customer service as well as high quality lumber products. Located in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota, Hills Products Group manufactures and distributes quality wood products, treated lumber, rough lumber, pattern stock, pine & spruce boards, and much more.
Hills Products Group (HPG) is a subsidiary of Northwestern Engineering Company (NWE), founded by Morris Adelstein as a small engineering and contracting company and incorporated in 1927. Spearfish is home to our sales and administrative offices. The sales and logistics staff handles the sales and shipping, not only from our own plants, but also direct sales of lumber, utility poles and imported wood products. HPG's Whitewood, SD, plant, acquired in 1986, is primarily engaged in wood preservation as well as specialty fencing applications, special fabricating and a number of value-added products such as steel fencing T-posts, various types of wire, pressure-treated dimension lumber, rough lumber, post-frame building materials, highway and utility products, wood foundation plywood and posts and poles.
Southern Yellow Pine and Ponderosa Pine both naturally accept treatment without the use of incising, thus, the natural aesthetics of the wood remain. Hills Products Group offers 2 shades of MicroPro treated lumber, light green and cedartone. Pressure treated lumber will resist attacks from insects, microscopic organisms as well as fungal decay.
Add style, elegance and longevity to your outdoor spaces with the use of Koppers® MCA pressure treated natural or cedartone, environmentally safe landscape wood products from Hills Products Group.
Used to be a great company with very good service. But ever since their good salesman retired they have been very aweful to get along with. The current salesman hang up on you and their prices are no longer as competitive as before. I would recommend them at all. If you want a good price on fence posts contact Forest Products in Rapid City, they aren't quite as good as Hills Products used to be, but way better than what Hills Products has become, which is terrible.
Merry Christmas from your friends at Hills Products Group
