Tahoe Fence stocks a wide variety of wire materials for you to select from, including: barbed wire, field fence, nonclimb, weld wire, galvanized chain link, and vinyl coated chain link. Vinyl coated chain link fences are very popular around the Lake Tahoe area. One reason is because many planning codes require them. Another reason is because they blend in so well with the Sierra's pristine environment. The three standard colors for vinyl coated chain link that Tahoe Fence sells, repairs, and installs are black, brown, and green.
At Tahoe Fence Co., Inc. we do more than just fences, we specialize in gates too. For every type of fence we build for you, we have the gates to match. If you need gates that swing, roll, slide, tilt, or lift, we install them. From a garden gate, an estate entry gate, a commercial drive gate, or an industrial automated cantilever gate, Tahoe Fence has the expertise and knowledge to build it. Tahoe Fence is able to manufacture its own gates. This means we keep a vast stock of gates ready to use. Furthermore, we can create gates to custom fit any unique situations you may have, and are able to build gates to compliment your fence.
The vast majority of wood materials Tahoe Fence sells, repairs, and installs are untreated redwood and cedar. We stock pressure treated wood and lodge pole as well. While most of our wood fences are built on wood posts (such as 4x4s, 4x6s, 6x6s, and 8x8s), it is possible to construct most styles on metal posts. Whichever you choose, posts on solid wood fences are almost always concreted in the ground. In most of our fences we use construction (rough) grade 1×6 dogear boards. However, some are increasingly difficult to obtain.
And similar to our chain link and wood fences, we are able to install an iron fence for you on either metal or wood posts. Usually we concrete posts for steel fences in the ground; however, we can attach your steel fence almost anywhere. Most styles of ornamental steel Tahoe Fence carries comes in two grades: Standard, which we refer to as our residential type of iron; And commercial, a sturdier and thicker version we recommend for heavy snow load areas and industrial sites. We usually stair step the height of your ornamental steel fence to follow the grade changes in the ground.

The beauty of Tahoe Fence's vinyl (PVC) products is in their simplicity and versatility. Styles are available that match many variations of our wood and steel fences, including privacy and spaced pickets. Although PVC fences are not the best choice where structural strength is required, such as high security areas, they are almost maintenance free. Normally, it is best to set the PVC posts in concrete. When necessary, Tahoe Fence is able to mount the posts to concrete and wood to accommodate existing patios and decks.
