Chain Link Fence is arguably one of the most popular types of fencing solutions available. Chain Link, sometimes referred to as "cyclone fence", is simple in design, cost effective and extremely durable. At Fence Specialists of Tacoma, we offer custom chain link fence installations and can work with you to properly enclose any type of property or field. If you are looking for a privacy style fence we can insert plastic slats into the weaves to achieve a more private effect. We also offer a vinyl coated chain link fence that gives the material a smooth plastic feel and a cleaner look.
Fence Specialists sells and installs a variety of gates - the majority of which are built by our very own gate shop. Our gates are either manual or fitted for automation, and can be built with barb wire installed across the top. We regularly offer Chain Link, Ornamental Iron, and Wood gates. It is important to note that we only sell Wood gates with installation and do not sell them separate over the counter. Vinyl and Trex gates are available only with special order as they are not a stock item.
Ornamental Iron (also known to us as OI) is a steel product with a small fraction of pure iron mixed in. Unlike the 100% pure iron, hand-crafted bars forged in Smitheries a hundred years ago, OI is now mass-produced by factory machine. This makes OI quicker to order and cheaper to buy. We sell and install three standard styles of OI: Classic, Majestic, and Genesis (pictured below). This is the most traditional style of OI since its tops press into spear-like points. Residential Classic can be ordered in heights of 3', 3 ', 4', 5', and 6', while Commercial OI offers options of 7' and 8' as well.
Fence Specialists sells and installs pre-slatted chain link as well as sells the slats separately. There are 9 colors available: Light blue, Dark Blue, Green, Beige, Black, White, Silver, Brown, and Red. Sometimes referred to as "mini" mesh, the diamond widths on this style are readily available in 1 inch and 1 inch at our shop. Mesh as small as inch is available to order. Standard chain link is 2 inch mesh. Pursuant to Governor Inslee's Proclamation 20-25, our business is required to establish, implement, and enforce social distancing policies, consistent with best practices and guidelines from the CDC.
Vinyl fencing is a privacy fence style that was first introduced in the 1980s. It is a petroleum based, 100% plastic material made with poly-vinyl chloride, aka PVC. In other words, it is the same durable plastic you find around vinyl window frames. Profiles promoting faux wood designs are available along with a handful of solid color choices (see the Bufftech brand and BFC's brochures below). Vinyl is installable over hilly as well as flat terrain and requires minimal maintenance long term. Fence Specialists both sells and installs Vinyl fencing.
