Western Red Cedar owes its beauty, color and durability and resistance to decay and insects due to the presence of natural tannis. These natural extractives may lead to discoloration on exposed surfaces. Extractive discoloration may occur in spite of preventative steps that may be taken and no warranty is provided on natural wood products, including Western Red Cedar, as well as other domestic and exotic soft and hardwoods, or coatings against extractive discoloration, uneven absorption, exact color match or for any other reason.

Available in a wide variety of widths and patterns, Western Red Cedar, Doug Fir or Knotty Pine tongue and groove paneling can be used to define and customize any interior or exterior space. If we don't stock what you are looking for in dimensional lumber, siding, shingles, shakes or paneling, chances are we can find a mill that can make it for you; from custom siding patterns, to specialty cut timbers, shakes and shingles, to re-sawing and resurfacing. We are also able to offer Fire Retardant Treating to some Western Red Cedar and Doug Fir products. To help you save time on the job site, we can also arrange to have your materials pre-stained, pre-primed or painted. With nearly every color imaginable, from clear products that allow the natural characteristics and colors of the wood to show through, to semi-transparent stains that add a subtle hue, to solid color coatings; including oil based primers.

Fence posts made of Western Red Cedar or pressure treated material are readily available in 4x4 or 6x6 in a variety of lengths. When installing Cedar fencing, stainless steel nails or screws are the best choice for installation, especially if you intend to finish the wood with a transparent or semi-transparent stain. Our Western Red Cedar Split rail fencing is available in either a two or three rail system. The two rail has a finished height of approximately 3', while the 3 rail system provides a finished fence height of approximately 4'.
