Engineered wood is a layered product made of an actual but thin slice of hardwood on top of a base of high-quality multi-layer plywood constructed of hardwoods as well. Solid hardwood is a homogeneous product from top to bottom and side to side. Thickness is usually 3/4″. Plank widths can vary from 3.25″ up to 11″. At Savannah floor covering, we work exclusively with pre-finished Hardwood as opposed to site-finished. This means no mess and chemical smell.
