We believe the difference is in the details. Our journeymen finishers sand, stain and apply multiple coats of the best materials available with painstaking care in order to achieve a final finish that enhances the grain, texture and color of all hardwood floors. Over the years we have evaluated wood flooring products from many mills and we use only those real hardwoods from mills we can rely upon. We offer a virtually unlimited selection of woods and finishes to suit most tastes and decors all provided by the most trusted mills in the USA.

Locally owned by three partners, Heritage Hardwood Floors has been serving homeowners, builders, designers and architects since 1997. Our projects range from single rooms to entire homes, offices, businesses and commercial establishments. No matter the size of the project, each customer receives the same level of attention to detail by the skilled craftsmen-owners and experienced tradesmen who are direct employees of the company. Heritage Hardwood Floors purchases solid hardwood and engineered wood flooring products from the most reputable and quality oriented mills and manufacturers.

There are so many floor cleaning products that claim to be the best for maintaining hardwood floors that it is confusing. What do you use that you can recommend? Call me old fashioned if you will, but I use a dust mop or a vacuum without a beater bar first to remove dust and loose debris. Then I use a dry mop and a mixture of water and vinegar. Pour two ounces of vinegar in a 32-ounce-size spray bottle and fill it with water. Spray the mixture ahead of where you are working and mop over it with a dry mop.

All successful projects require careful planning and coordination between the owner and flooring contractor, and frankly, that too is where we shine. Our initial meeting may occur at our showroom or your location. After examining your floors, we will recommend the best type of product and can review samples of the many flooring options we have to offer. We will review all installation conditions and when you are satisfied, prepare an agreement and schedule for delivery, installation, finishing and completion.

One of Heritage Hardwood Floors' trim carpenters installs shoe moulding on existing baseboards upon completion of new hardwood floors. Notice how he protects the new flooring just as we would do in our own homes. Variations in temperature and humidity cause wood to expand and contract. When we install hardwood flooring we always provide for this and leave a small gap between the edges of the flooring and baseboards to provide for such movement. Shoe moulding makes for a neat and easy-to-clean transition between the base and hardwood flooring, and provides a cover for that little gap and prevents dust and dirt from accumulating there.
