Behind our name, there really are four brothers: Alfred, Ben, Kent and Leroy Johnson. Growing up, each brother served as a woodworking apprentice, beginning with sweep-up duty, then stacking wood, inspecting parts, machining rough lumber, and assembling cabinetry, finally working their way up to product design. As adults, they found themselves fitting remodeling projects into the evenings and weekends of their 9 to 5 lives. It didn't take long for their reputation for quality craftsmanship and attentive customer service to turn into a backlog of work and a steady stream of referrals and in 2006, Four Brothers Design + Build was launched.
We are a Washington DC-based design + build firm, providing architecture, design, and construction services all in-house and under one umbrella. This allows us to complete remodeling projects efficiently and with the utmost attention to quality-from big picture design to small, important details.
