Ace Hardwood Flooring

Like most trees that sustain the hardwood flooring industry, the seed for Ace Hardwood Flooring was planted in Austin, TX after Mark Szeneri relocated from California in 1977. In 1985, a nurturing mix of craftsmanship, integrity, value and faith saw two new branches sprout from Ace Hardwood's continual growth: our milling warehouse and, most prominently, The Mesquite Collection. The very same business ethics and values which have rooted the foundation of our company has also attracted skilled craftsmen whom have both found comfort and have remained happily under our shaded canopy for upwards of 30 years; our oldest employee boasting 38 years!

The Mesquite Collection, established in 1989, grew out of our very own family-owned hardwood flooring business. This collection of custom flooring offers wide plank flooring, herringbone patterns, and end-grain blocks, as well as butcher block countertops, stair treads, risers, stair nosings, and transitions. We feature 3/4 solid unfinished old-growth select mesquite flooring in lengths of 1 - 7 feet. Our Mesquite products have been used in a variety of applications throughout the world. Mesquite inhabits over 55 million acres in Texas.

It wasn't long ago that high-end custom wood flooring meant sanding and finishing on side. Today, contractors are turning more and more to prefinishing, wither in their own shops or through custom prefinishing operations like ours. It comes down to fashion and control. The colors that designers are demanding nowadays are often only achieved through processes like fuming, bleaching, and reactive stains that are difficult if not impossible to accomplish on site. By coloring and texturing in a shop, you have the opportunity to work with these processes in a controlled environment using labor saving machines.
