DC Hardwood Flooring is a Colorado based company serving Northern Colorado areas ( since 1994 ) such as Boulder, Estes Park, Longmont, Loveland, Fort Collins, and Southern Wyoming areas around Cheyenne and Laramie. We have also traveled to other states, but the customer has paid for travel and lodging expenses in these cases. We started doing flooring in Boulder, Colorado in 1989 and have expanded to the areas mentioned above. Doing all aspects of installation, sanding and finishing of hardwood flooring and tile, and also custom stains, stairs, inlays, borders and some light carpentry work.

Wood flooring is much more environmentally-friendly than carpeting or tile because it's a sustainable flooring resource. Tile does not biodegrade, so when it's broken and replaced, it ends up in landfills forever unless it's recycled. And carpeting is one of the biggest landfill problems we have. The most sustainable flooring on the market today is hardwood flooring. According to the E.P.A., 2 million tons of carpeting end up in U.S. landfills every year. If a person keeps carpeting in their house for their entire lifetime, they will replace it an average of 7-10 times.

Since we do not recommend putting hardwood in areas that might receive water damage or too much moisture, such as in bathrooms, laundry or kitchen next to dishwashers or refrigerators with ice makers, tile is an excellent way to avoid the headaches of water damage in the future in highly prone areas. An entry way - we installed tile in an unusual and creative pattern. It was installed in a similar pattern to the flooring since it was a narrow stone tile and lent itself well to this type of pattern.
