We do all we can to make it a pleasurable experience from start to completion. You will notice the difference when you enter our large showroom, and as we continue through the project process, you will see what separates us from the rest. By combining product selection, design ideas and superior installation you can be assured of a floor that will meet your requirements and increase the value of your home. Wayne and Judy Bottini, who have been Benicia residents for more than 30 years, own Benicia Floor Company.

Although carpet popularity has diminished over the years in favor of hard surface flooring (hardwood, laminate, tile), it is still a product that provides comfort, quiet and warmth to your home. The most durable and common synthetic carpet material is nylon. Nylon represents about 80% of residential carpet installations. Polyester, Olefin, and Polypropylene comprise the rest of the synthetic options. Wool is a natural product that is luxurious and durable and is also the most expensive carpet material.

There are various types of tile for a variety of looks and applications - from light to heavy residential and commercial traffic. Most types come from clay or a mixture of clay and other materials that are kiln-fired. We take pride in offering many lines of tile that you will not see at every store that you visit. The trend in tile today is to provide a look similar to natural stone as opposed to the glossy ceramic look of 10 years ago. While we do not stock any tile, we have hundreds of samples from which to choose and can get most tile within a few days.

Laminate is less expensive than hardwood and is actually more durable. Both are easy to maintain and eliminate the allergy concerns of carpet. Although manufacturers have really improved the appearance of laminate, it does still not have the natural beauty of a hardwood floor. Since it is installed as a floating floor, laminate will have a more hollow sound than hardwood. In some cases they are easier to repair, but can't be re-finished like a hardwood floor can. The best way to determine which flooring is best for you is to visit Benicia Floor Company and see laminate side by side with hardwood.

One of the most popular looks we have is handscraped hardwood floors. The hardwood is scraped by hand to deliver a time worn look. In many cases the fact that the floor already has been scraped and distressed eliminates the fear factor of selecting a hardwood floor. Unlike the traditional looking hardwood that is smoothly finished, a ding or a scratch will only add to the character of handscraped hardwood floors.

What our customers say. It has been a wonderful experience working with you and Benicia Floor Company. You guys are always great to deal with - helpful, knowledgeable, but never pushy or impatient. Your installers were wonderful. They arrived promptly, worked quickly, neatly and they were always very polite. They did a fabulous job. The process of choosing your new flooring will usually begin with a visit to the store of your choice. You make your decision on a combination of factors such as referrals, reputation of the store including its level of customer service, price competitiveness, product selection and sometimes just a feeling you get about who you are dealing with.
