Situated off the shore of the Anacostia River in the "Yards" (just north of the Nationals Ball Park), this stand-alone building houses the Dirstrict's first winery. On auger piles and a thickened concrete slab, the steel structure is cladded in a custom aluminum curtain wall system providing a 360 degree view of the re-developed Yards. A wood rain screen system softens the glare of the glass and compliments the boardwalk along the river in the same Ipe material. Nestled by the Anacostia riverfront to the south, with Nationals Park to the west, the historic Washington Navy Yard to the east, and all of downtown DC and Capitol Hill to the north, The Lumber Shed - so-called for its original function - is an adaptive re-use of a historical Navy Yard industrial building.
Nestled neatly at the corner of 14th Street and Q Street NW, the 14th & Q St. condominiums offer a distinctive mix of apartment layouts including several two-story lofts with 20 ft high ceilings. It is a unique building that gives purpose to all available space. The 7-story concrete and masonry structure contains a two-level parking garage under 28 apartment units with roof and terrace decks. Located just North of Logan Circle, the original office building was renovated into a 32-unit luxury condominium building with a penthouse common area, fitness center, TV lounge area, terrace deck, and green roof.
