With experience spanning over four decades, Knight Construction is known for tackling some of the toughest industrial construction projects throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond, ranging from dam repair, mining, plant maintenance and fire protection. Operating with a focus on both safety and efficiency, Knight is the first choice for heavy industrial construction. We provide services to the Federal Government, and are continually seeking Small Businesses and Minority Businesses to fulfill our subcontracting needs.
Originally founded in 1968 by Jim Knight to service commercial customers and build residential shops and workspaces, Knight Const. Knight is a safety-first construction company employing skilled craftsman including millwrights, Certified AWS D1.1, D1.5 and ASME Sect. IX welders and pipefitters, carpenters, power equipment operators, electricians and laborers. Our crane operators are NCCCO-certified. Most of the equipment and tools necessary for our work are owned by Knight, including several cranes-the largest of which is 82 tons.
Hazards covered by our installations: Class B flammable liquid fire hazards, oil storage rooms, oil purification rooms, transformers, paint rooms. Many existing hydropower dams have CO2 fire protection systems in place covering these hazards. Due to the health hazards of CO2, these installations are no longer in compliance with the current fire code. Unlike CO2 and other suppression systems, the actuation of an FWM system does not pose a health hazard to occupants within the protected space. Feel free to call Knight with questions about FWM fire protection systems.
