Concrete work is critical to the progress, quality, and success of any construction project. We are able to keep projects on schedule and maintain the highest standards of quality control by self-performing the concrete work on our projects. We have extensive experience in formwork of all kinds, foundations, cast-in-place walls, concrete columns, concrete tilt-up construction, cast-in-place decks and suspended composite slabs. All of this experience has been gained in the context of the climatic conditions unique to Central Oregon, where severe weather is not just an anomaly, but also an everyday fact of life.

Our crews have built many large and complicated exposed glu-lam beam/timber framed structures on some of our most beautiful projects. From bowstring trusses to glu-lam trees, we have taken great pride in our ability to produce wood structures that are signature architectural features on many of our projects. Kirby Nagelhout Construction Company (KNCC) was founded in Bend, Oregon in 1986 and has grown to become one of Oregon's largest contractors, consistently in the DJC's top 15. In 2014, KNCC expanded across the state with permanent ofces in Portland and Pendleton.

KNCC operates the largest steel fabrication shop in Central Oregon. Our in-house steel detailing department develops CAD shop drawings from the project structural and architectural documents, submits those shop drawings to the architect/engineer for review and approval, while our superintendents then check all details for proper fit and dimensioning prior to fabrication. Our steel shop manufactures the steel components, and our experienced field crews erect them, allowing for tighter control of all aspects of this critical activity.
