Down2earth Interior Design, llc (d2e) is a unique design practice that focuses on creating sustainable, low-maintenance, and beautiful interior environments for residential and commercial clients. We are schematic design specialists. That means we will help you develop your vision for your space and give you concrete deliverables you can use to source your furniture items, team up with tradespeople, or collaborate with other building and remodeling professionals. Our aim is to create an interior environment that meets the needs of your family or employees and simultaneously considers the needs of the larger community and the environment.
As designers, we must always keep the client's goals in mind. When designing commercial environments - whether healthcare, educational, retail, or corporate - we must also consider so many other stakeholders as well. The users of these commercial spaces - patients, students, employees, shoppers, and community members - all interact with the interior environment. Interior designers play a key role in making these interactions positive ones. Evidenced-based design is a field growing in recognition, and wherever possible, we back up our design recommendations with research into human behavior and environmental psychology.

"The homeowners’ vision included moving the kitchen to the opposite side of the house, in a large space that would be created by tearing down walls and combining a former home office, a former bathroom, and a former closet.
