While every log home is customized for each client, the standard package materials are consistent. Options can be added, and components can be tailored to match the needs and desires of a customer, but this is our list of standard log home package materials. And keep in mind, we not only provide log homes but our in-house log home design department also has designed cabins, additions, garages and any other log structure you're thinking about building. All logs are pre-cut, lettered, and numbered for placement in the walls and solid log gable ends, per plan.

Real Log Homes has a full service design department in-house ready to serve its clients in any capacity. Led by Jim Driesch, who started with us in 1975, our design staff has many years of experience designing the most ideal log home floor plans. Our design team can work with your Independent Representative or your personal architect to develop a log home floor plan that will meet your wants and needs. Some clients come to us with an idea or concept in mind, sometimes even drawings they might have sketched themselves or one of our many already existing log home floor plans.

Real Log Homes® isn't just a brand name. Our log homes incorporate only the highest quality materials and third-party components to complement our superior design and manufacturing, giving you a home of unparalleled structural integrity and comfort. From premium graded logs to Andersen® windows and Therma-Tru® doors, our commitment to using high-quality materials helps our homes maintain their natural beauty and ensures, with proper maintenance, your home will provide lasting comfort for generations.

We have set the highest standard in the industry for extensive precision pre-cutting. We are one of the very few log home companies to use a state-of-the art computer controlled, precision cutting machine called the Hundegger, which means less waste and much tighter fitting logs. This, combined with our InterLock™ Joinery System, creates one of the most weather-tight log packages available; and our naturally dried, treated logs withstand the test of time. Our attention to detail during the manufacturing process is what makes a Real Log Homes brand log home more economical to build, more comfortable to live in, and more satisfying to own.

Our standard window, Andersen® 400 Series Low-E4® windows, offer optimal energy performance and comfort. Low-E4 glass reflects heat in the summer and helps keep heat inside in the winter, making this a good choice in climates where both heating and cooling costs are a concern. Additional glass performance options include SmartSun™ glass, which blocks 95% of the sun's harmful UV rays. SmartSun glass is a slightly tinted insulating glass unit with a triple silver, low emissivity SmartSun™ coating.

We love our Real Log Home Cabin. Scott Rogers was dedicated to every aspect of our project from start to finish. He has continued to help us make decisions on Stain and other projects over the years. Scott is a Builder that will be on site and available during the entire process. Built in 2003

Built a Real Log Home in 1979. been in it since then. Energy efficient and comfortable. Raised two children.no w 6 grand children. held up well.

It has been our dream for many years to build a log home and, after extensive research, we decided on a Real Log Home years before even purchasing our land. Our log home is now just weeks away from being complete and it's even more beautiful than we could have imagined. The 8-inch logs in the contour profile are simply gorgeous - providing plenty of stability along with the rustic but clean look we wanted. There were some delays at our site due to weather and other factors beyond our control, but the folks at RLH were flexible with our changes and so great to work with. It's been an amazing journey so far and we can't wait to share the finished product!
