Boulder Fire and Boulder Rural Fire participate in joint training at the Boulder Regional Fire Training Center. These two agencies and others from around the county are training together as it becomes more and more likely they will be running more calls together.
The area will be impacted by a significant storm later this week into the weekend, with upslope flow bringing potentially large amounts of snow expected along the Front Range Mountains and Foothills. People should start considering their plans Friday through Sunday and make sure they have what they need in their cars and homes.
This past Sunday, Captain McElvaney participated in an agricultural prescribed burn as part of BoCoFire’s S-219 Firing Operations class. This class discusses and illustrates common firing devices and techniques used on both wildfires and prescribed burns.
