Landscape architecture enhances urban and natural environments. Beyond just parks and trails, our landscape designers bring thoughtful, healthy environments to multifamily developments, restaurants and wineries, schools, parking lots, and sidewalks. With sustainability at the forefront, we explore leaving the landscape better than we found it - in ways clients and users find gratifying. Brookville Gardens in Fife is considered a "green" park not simply for the lush beauty, but also for the environmentally-friendly design and construction used to bring the park to the community.

We recognize the power of collective thinking because we see the results of interdisciplinary collaboration first hand. Designers, engineers, and architects, in partnership with clients. Together, we become an effective engine of problem solving. This model of partnership allows us to get beyond the expected, and realize something great, together. Our measure of success is when we effectively communicate our client's business or mission through the built environment. This means including our clients as collaborative partners in the design process and building long-term trust.

We strive to deepen connections between people and place. Where barriers between people and place are removed - where people understand intuitively that a space is their own - that's where inspiration happens. Each project is an opportunity for architects and clients to develop a shared vision, and then see it come to life. For Stadium Apartments in Tacoma, the owners, who are local developers, wanted a timeless building for their property in the historic Stadium neighborhood. Apartment and retail buildings of all ages fill the neighborhood; the design goal for this project was to stand out in beauty but blend contextually now and in the future.

The infrastructure that guides our experience in public spaces - sidewalks, roads, parking, stormwater collection - often go unnoticed, and that's what civil engineers want. When users have no complaints about those aspects of the built environment, when they blend seamlessly into the experience, we know we've provided successful civil design. Our team understands that much of the work of this discipline is unseen, but we appreciate our role in providing the supporting fundamentals for projects that improve our communities.

A project rarely benefits from a single perspective. We offer multiple design disciplines in house because we believe we are better when a diversity of voices is heard. Here you'll find interior designers who can speak to site constraints and civil engineers who understand finishes. When our teams are enriched by the diverse perspectives of our design disciplines, we gain an understanding of the whole built environment.

Interior designers are immersed in the world of the user. They experience an environment through texture, color, light, and balance. Questions guiding design include: how will this element make the user feel, and what can we bring to this space to improve function? With user experience as a guide, our design decisions blend art and science to transform interior spaces. For Indigo Urgent Care Clinics, we emphasized a humanized patient experience. A centralized care team space, visible from all patient rooms, allows visitors to view activity normally hidden, which eases anxiety.
