Jennifer Horn is a Washington DC landscape architect and horticulturist specializing in the design and implementation of high end residential and commercial gardens throughout Virginia, Maryland, Washington DC, Delaware and New York state. Our specialities include: patios, hardscapes, walkways, masonry walls, terraces, pergolas, herb gardens, potagers, outdoor kitchens and bars, sports courts, fire pits, custom swimming pools and water features, landscape lighting, native plants, community parks and school courtyard design.

JHLA is a landscape architecture firm offering creative and green design solutions. Jennifer Horn Landscape Architecture offers services like general design, horticulture/planting design, land management consulting, landscape estimating, sustainability assessments, etc. Jennifer Horn has twenty years experience working in all aspects of the landscape industry, from working at plant nurseries to designing large estates and parks worldwide. JHLA will work closely with the client, the architect and other consultants to ensure that the landscape fully responds to the social and environmental needs of the site.

While we are glad our gardens can bring beauty to the natural world, that's not enough. We calculate our annual carbon footprint and offset our use of electricity and fossil fuels through with TerraPass, whose associated programs help reduce greenhouse gases, supports clean energy and helps restore freshwater ecosystems. Further, we know the realization of our projects is due to the hard work of laborers, many of whom are people of color. With that in mind, we have instituted a new, annual scholarship with Virginia Tech's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
