The Frank Hughes Memorial Library was constructed in 1940 as the first library in Liberty, Missouri. It is now used as the Clay County Archives and Historic Library. We have had the great opportunity to work with the City of Liberty and the Archives on a preservation plan for the building.
Before there was a jail in downtown Kansas City, the jail was in Independence. This was the third jail in Jackson County and was used between 1859 and 1933. Now used as the 1859 Jail Museum, this is a great place to visit (in the future)! We worked on an exterior assessment of the building last year...
Working with the Kirksville Art Association has been such a fantastic experience, and it makes our day when we get to see progress on their building. The brick is almost complete, and we can't wait until the day we are all out of quarantine and can celebrate the opening of this amazing space for the Kirksville community!
